It works fine most of the time, at least from what I’ve seen. I did run into a few random freezes and one crash, so I’m kind of on the fence about it. Maybe it was just my setup, but it feels like it could use a bit more polish in terms of reliability. Not a bad program overall, just not one I fully trust yet.

I was hoping this would give me that old-school player feeling, and from a distance it kind of does. But once I started using it, it felt more like a newer version dressed up to look retro. Maybe I’m only remembering the good parts of the older ones, but the buttons and finish just don’t match what I had in mind. It’s not bad at all, just didn’t feel as authentic as I was hoping.

I’m really happy with this player. The box arrived in good shape, and I appreciated that the extra accessories were included because they came in handy right away. Definitely grateful for the thoughtful package.

I ordered from modestvintageplayer.com because I’d been looking for something similar to what my dad used to have, so I was a little nervous about it arriving safely. The packaging was actually better than I expected. The outer box had a small dent, but everything inside was wrapped nicely and totally fine. Not absolutely perfect, but no real problem either. I’d probably give it 5 stars if the box itself had been a bit sturdier.

I wasn’t totally sure about it at first, but this thing turned out way better than I expected. For what I paid, it works fine, looks decent, and doesn’t feel like some flimsy piece of crap.

I’ve seen similar players going for more money elsewhere, so yeah, I’m happy with it. It’s not perfect or anything, but for the price, I really don’t have much to bitch about. I’d buy it again.

Returning this ended up being a hassle. I’ll admit I probably could’ve followed up sooner, but I was busy and kept hoping it would just get sorted. I still had to chase them twice, and the refund didn’t come through until weeks later.

I’ve been using this controller for a bit now, the thing I noticed right away is how quickly the buttons respond. When I’m playing, I don’t really feel any delay or annoying lag, which makes a big difference, especially in games where timing matters. The buttons feel snappy and comfortable enough, and overall it just works really well. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot, but it’s actually been better than I thought it would be, so I’m happy with it

Pretty impressed overall. For a vintage player, the sound is warm and clear, great for easy listening at home. I get a little crackle when it’s turned up high, but it’s not a big deal. Solid 4 stars.

For me, that makes it hard to trust the site or feel like it’s worth spending time on, so I ended up leaving quickly.

I ordered one piece from Modest Vintage Player, my first thought when I opened it was, “Okay, this does look close to the photos.” The style is definitely cute and has that vintage vibe I was hoping for. But then I looked a little closer and was like, hmm… the quality is just kind of average for the price. A few spots in the stitching weren’t the neatest, and the fabric felt thinner than I expected. It’s still totally wearable, so I’m not mad about it, but I also wouldn’t say I was blown away. Shipping was fine, no issues there. I might order again if there’s a good sale, but probably not at full price.

It showed up a few days later than I thought it would, and the tracking barely updated, which didn’t make it any less annoying.

I really wanted to like this thing, but it feels like cheap junk. After just a few weeks, the buttons started getting loose and the case already has a small crack in it.
I wasn’t even being rough with it, just using it normally. For the price, I expected way better than this flimsy little dud. Disappointed, honestly...

I did eventually get my refund, but i thought it would be processed much faster. It ended up taking weeks, which was frustrating compared to what I was expecting.
